I Love To See The Temple

When I came to school at BYU, it was important to me that I attended the Provo temple regularly. I decided that an achievable goal would be to go at least once a week. Little did I know that the walk to the temple was about a 6 mile walk round trip (remember, half of that is up a mountain). I was able to go to the temple twice before it closed for a couple weeks.

There is such solitude and peace in the temple, that it really helps me remember my priorities. I'm grateful that I can perform ordinances for those who have passed beyond the veil.

New Student Orientation has come and gone. I'm now a resident of Wyview, and I've attended my first Sunday in the YSA 129th ward. Crazy, huh?


On Friday, I went to NSO and then I moved into apt no. 51. At first it was overwhelming; probably, due to the fact I didn't get a spot in the pantry until I went James Bond and made room for my food (while my roommates were gone). Thankfully, Tiffany invited Mom, Hayley, and I to stay at her home in Lehi that night so, I had one night left with my crazy lil' sis and wonderful Mummy.

Saturday was a walk in the park compared to Friday. I went grocery shopping, ate the delicious Cafe Rio, and went to the Saturday Night Extravaganza (emphasis on extravanza, hahaha). Actually, Ellen and I "played" the dating game and then enjoyed the humorous talents of Divine Comedy.


Today (Sunday), I woke up to my roommates cooking a crock-pot dinner. We invited two boys apartments over for dinner, and a couple other girls. Hopefully, it will all go well! :)

*Note to self: don't cook crock-pot ground beef dinners!

Packing Up

Well, in less than one week my Mom, Hayley and I will be boarding the plane that takes us to LAX, and then to our final destination, Salt Lake City. A lot still needs to be done before we leave, but I'm beginning to get anxious- roommates, orientation, school etc.
